There’s no such thing as forever. Other things vanish, other things end, all things change, but some change for better. Universe evolves for better living, organisms evolve to cope with their surroundings, and also, we, humans evolve for better understanding together with modern innovations of technology. No one can survive the rapid changing world by himself, and people are continuously discovering ways to interact with others. That’s the reason why the word “communication” has been developed. As defined, it is the act or process of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviours to express or exchange information or to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else. This serves as the light to all individual to interact with others and to get out on the cold, lonely, and dark side of the world.

Communication is an important factor that governs our daily lives. Comparable to stairs, communication evolves step-by-step. At the beginning, ancient people use cave painting, smoke signals, bonfire, whistled language, and carrier pigeon together with different ancient languages. At that time, humans are very resourceful and systematic. They are very prolific in using nature as their source of communication. Here in the Philippines, Datus and Sultans have messenger or “umalohokan” to deliver their messages to their subordinates. Decades and centuries passed, humans evolved in terms of their appearance, clothes, language, and the way they think. People are discovering ways to increase the speed of communication. Until the time that telegraphs, writings, letters, landlines, and technology’s influence is spreading all over the world. But, people didn’t stop discovering the broad innovation of technology that will eventually help the complicated way of communicating to each other. We learned using tiny fragments and manipulating such thing to create a more helpful object that is now known as gadgets. This is modern things we are familiar with, cellular phones, computer, and tablets. As well as internet, facebook, SMS, messenger, and different advanced applications and technology. Things that made, makes, and will make the lives of every individual, easy and convenient.

The digital age further revolutionized communication, making it instant and global. The advent of social media platforms has created virtual communities where people from different parts of the world can connect, share ideas, and collaborate. This global interconnectedness has not only enhanced the way we communicate but also the way we perceive and understand different cultures and societies. It has created a consciousness that transcends geographical boundaries, making the concept of a global village more tangible than ever before.

In addition, the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning has brought about another dimension in communication. Chatbots and virtual assistants, for instance, have become commonplace, providing information and support in various sectors like customer service, healthcare, and education. These technologies have not only made information more accessible but have also enhanced the efficiency and speed of how we exchange and process information.

However, this rapid advancement in communication technology also presents challenges. The issue of information overload, digital divide, and the erosion of personal privacy are some of the concerns that have emerged in the digital era. It is crucial to address these challenges to ensure that the evolution of communication remains a tool for positive change and connection.

Expect the unexpected, because people are very conscious of what is happening around and will definitely make a move to answer the swirling questions in their mind. Individuals must learn how to interact and cope with the changing society because no man is an island and there is no permanent thing in this world except for “change”. We freely use these things that help us communicate to our loved ones, yet, don’t forget to acknowledge the consciousness of the primitive people, because if they are not aware enough, we will live in this world, ALONE!
